This UK-based Kerala man built his own plane in lockdown

There’s a saying that goes, "Sky is the limit." Perhaps, Ashok Thamarakshan, an automobile engineer based in the UK, took it a lil to serious. While many of were either making dalgona coffee or binge watching out favourite OTT content during the Covid induced lockdown, Ashok had a different plan. He decided to build a plane from scratch, hoping to fly free and high when things get back to normalcy. After spending around Rs 1.8 crore and 1,500 hours, Ashok finally built his own four-seater aircraft and travelled to different countries with his family.
