Post facelift Avatar Park to attract more footfalls

‘Avatar Park’, adjacent to KR Market flyover in the city, is all set to attract more footfalls, thanks to the initiative taken by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) to give it a facelift.

VIJAYAWADA: ‘Avatar Park’, adjacent to KR Market flyover in the city, is all set to attract more footfalls, thanks to the initiative taken by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) to give it a facelift.
The park will have enhanced greenery, better landscaping, granite benches and water fountains.

Municipal commissioner J Nivas, along with AP Urban Greening & Beautification Corporation MD Chandramohan Reddy on Wednesday inspected the progress of the development works taken up at the park.

The civic body chief instructed the contractor to develop pathway and plant saplings of various flowers in the park, which is situated between Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) and Railway Station and make it accessible to the local residents.

VMC superintendent engineer JV Ramakrishna, horticulture additional director Pradeep Kumar and others were present during the inspection of the park.
