BANGALORE: The army dressed in black and blue blew their Devil Horns, to respect one of  the most brutal heavy metal bands that visited the metal capital of India head on Saturday. Lamb of God or as fans describe the band as medicine, Gods of metal, freedom, wrath, brutal and melodic performed in the city at Clark’s Exotica.

The American heavy metal band took the crowd away from reality to a world filled with hate and anger called heavy metal. Starting with a song from their latest album Resolution called Desolation, they managed to get the crowd on their toes and prepared them for a mosh pit. Before the next song began, the crowd got ready for the journey of their life time when front man Randy Blythe said, Walk with me in Hell.

This was truly Something to die for if this weren’t enough the band kicked up their distortion to something more heavy and performed Ruin which turned everyone to Ashes of the Wake.  Guessing that we had enough, the band gave us a small pause in their power packed performance. Just as we were about to catch our breath, we could hear Randy’s voice in the dark which echoed the intro for Omerta. The band sung the song along with 4000 fans that were singing their heart out. Then the heavy got heavier when LOG dedicated Contractor to all the upcoming bands in the country. Before the end of their performance, they showed us that we are all alike and we are all “Redneck.” Since every good thing comes to an end, the band ended the  perfect metal concert with their Black Label. Every single song, was performed with so much energy and love for metal, it made the crowd stronger and set their souls free. They jumped, pushed and head banged and shared the common friend Metal.

The metal heads in the city waited for a long time to enjoy a heavy metal concert, and thanks to  Bhayanakmaut (Bombay Band), who arranged for Lamb of God to visit India again. It looks like the bands who have played here can’t get enough of the city’s energy. Lamb of God as said as before, they promised, to return back to the city again for another performance shortly.

The band consists of Chris Adler on drums, Willie Adler on guitar, Mark Morton on lead guitar, John Campbell on bass and Randy Blythe on vocals. The band was formed in 1997 and performed various shows across the world. The band is well known across borders and played an important scene in the New Wave Metal Scene in different countries.

The show witnessed few other local bands as well who got the crowd charged up for Lamb of God. Skyharbour opened for Lamb of God and proved that Indian Music can reach to great heights. Bhayanakmaut, showed the gathering that Indians are nothing less when it comes to heavy metal. End of the day, it was the perfect metal concert that will keep your neck sore because of head-banging throughout the week.
