On Tuesday, India's COVID-19 caseload saw a spike of 69,921 new cases and 819 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The Health Ministry said that the country's tally now stands at 36,91,167 including 7,85,996 active cases, 28,39,883 cured/discharged/migrated and 65,288 deaths.

India is the hardest-hit nation by coronavirus disease in Asia and is currently accounting for 30 per cent of the daily reported new COVID-19 cases and 20 per cent of daily deaths globally.

Unlock 4.0: Uttarakhand to allow social gatherings of upto 100 people from September 21

Under Unlock 4.0 guidelines released on Tuesday, Uttarakhand government will now allow social, academic, religious, political and other functions of upto 100 persons from September 21. Marriage functions can only accomodate upto 50 guests and funeral related arrangements shall not exceed 20 people till September 20.(READ FULL REPORT HERE)

UP govt to conduct its first sero survey across 11 districts from Friday

The Uttar Pradesh government will begin its first serological survey to determine the prevalence of deadly coronavirus infection among people across 11 districts including the state capital Lucknow from Friday. The 11 districts to be put under the serological survey are Meerut, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, and Agra from September 4 to 6. Unlock-4 guidelines issued by Telangana government

  • Metro Rail is permitted to operate from 7th September, 2020 in a graded manner
  • A maximum of 50% of teaching and non-teaching staff are permitted to be called to the schools at a time for online teaching / tele-counselling and related work, in areas outside the Containment Zones only, with effect from September 21
  • Students of classes 9 to 12 are permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside the Containment Zones only, on voluntary basis, for taking guidance from their teachers. This is subject to written consent of their parents from September 21.
  • Open air theatres will be permitted to open with effect from September 21. Bars and Clubs shall remain closed.
  • Marriage gatherings shall be permitted with a maximum of 50 person.
  • Funeral/last rites related gatherings with number of persons not exceeding 20 will continue to be allowed up to September 20 and from September 21 the ceiling of 100 persons will apply.
