India's COVID tally has crossed the 58-lakh mark with a spike of 86,052 new cases. 1,141 deaths on Friday.

The total case tally stands at 58,18,571 including 9,70,116 active cases, 47,56,165 cured/discharged/migrated & 92,290 deaths, Health Ministry's last update informed.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has hit its peak in the national capital with experts hinting that the cases of infection will decline in the coming days.

He said the government was "keeping its fingers crossed" and hoped that COVID-19 cases will "gradually" come down due to the steps taken by the AAP dispensation.

293 fresh COVID-19 cases take Himachal Pradesh's tally to 13,680; death toll 153

The COVID-19 death toll in Himachal Pradesh rose to 153 on Friday with seven more fatalities, while 293 fresh cases took the infection tally in the state to 13,680, according to health department data.

Bihar reports three more COVID deaths, 1,632 fresh cases

Three more people died due to COVID-19 in Bihar, raising the death toll in the state to 881, while 1,632 fresh cases pushed the tally to 1,75,897, a health department bulletin said on Friday.

Nashik records 1,468 new COVID-19 cases; tally crosses 70,000

With the addition of 1,468 fresh infections on Friday, the COVID-19 caseload in Maharashtra's Nashik district has risen to 70,297, an official said. Apart from this, 26 patients died of the infection in the district, taking the toll to 1,275, the official said.

2,227 new coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh, 30 deaths

Madhya Pradesh on Friday reported 2,227 new coronavirus cases, pushing its case count to 1,17,588, the health departmentsaid. The death toll in the state due to the pandemic went up to 2,152 with 30 fatalities in the past 24 hours, it said in a statement in the evening.

Nagpur sees 971 new COVID-19 cases; 41 more deaths

As many as 971 persons tested for coronavirus, while 41 died of the infection in Maharashtra's Nagpur district on Friday, an official said. The latest cases have taken the tally in the district to 72,899, the official said.

One more COVID-19 fatality in Noida, death toll 51

Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar recorded one more COVID-19 fatality on Friday that pushed the district's death toll to 51, official data showed. Another 242 people tested positive for coronavirus that took the district's case tally to 12,253, according to the data released by the UP Health Department for a 24-hour period.

One death, 244 new COVID cases in Chandigarh

One more person died from coronavirus in Chandigarh on Friday as 244 new cases surfaced, pushing the infection count to 11,212 in the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. So far, 145 people have succumbed to the disease in the union territory, a medical bulletin said.

Mumbai reports 1,876 new COVID-19 cases, 48 patients die

With 1,876 people testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday, Mumbai's infection count reached 1,94,177, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. The death toll due to the virus in the country's financial capital rose to 8,703 with 48 new fatalities, it said.

182 new coronavirus cases in Ahmedabad, three deaths

Coronavirus cases in Ahmedabad district rose to 35,853 with 182 new cases being reported on Friday, the Gujarat health department said. The district reported three fatalities, raising the COVID-19 death toll to 1,813, it added.

    TSRTC buses in Hyderabad, interstate services to Karnataka, Maharashtra resumes today
