Keep eye on polls with Apps

Express News Service

If you are someone who cannot live without your smart phone, keeping an eye on the Assembly elections has become much easier.

Apps on the Google Play Market for Android available for free provide real time updates, news feeds, Twitter and Facebook updates as well as candidate information.

Apps All the Way

While politicians are increasing their online presence with the hope of reaching out to the net-savvy voters, the apps seek to target the same segment of voters who want information at the touch of a button.

Some apps even promise to provide continuous information about all elections held across the country.

Take ‘India Elections’ for example, the app gives you links to various news websites discussing the Karnataka elections.

It also provides you with Twitter and Facebook results.

Anyone interested in reading about the elections can just open the app and start browsing.

One can also browse news articles by clicking on the picture of any popular politician in the state.

The app is ad supported and is free to use.

‘MyNeta’ is another free app available for download from the play store.

It contains details of candidates and their assets as declared by them in the affidavits filed before the Election Commission at the time of nomination.

You can search for information based on the Assembly constituency and all states of India are included in this.

The app also offers an easy share option and this information can be shared on Facebook, sent via SMS or email.
