AIADMK scraps dual leadership; EPS to take on the reigns, OPS ousted

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) annulled the dual leadership structure and formally appointed Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) as the party’s Interim General Secretary. O Panneerselvam was expelled from the party's primary membership for allegedly "anti-party" activities. Meanwhile, workers of the two rival factions clashed outside the party headquarters. AIADMK men threw stones at each other and damaged vehicles.
