CM Pinarayi Vijayan intervened to settle bar bribery case against KM Mani, says Hotelier Biju Ramesh
The hotelier also alleged that Chennithala and his wife had requested not to name the Congress leader in the statement given before the Vigilance court.
The move is an effort from the part of the Pinarayi government and the LDF to sabotage the probe on the gold smuggling case, the Congress leader said.
Sources said that the agency is likely to start the probe next week itself after the state government gets approval from the Governor and Speaker.
Chennithala also did not spare the CM. The moment the Opposition makes a charge against the LDF government, the CM alleges that a nexus is being hatched between the Congress and BJP, he said.
Chennithala said that Isaac does not have right to continue in office as he has leaked details of CAG draft report on KIIFB even before it was tabled in assembly or discussed by cabinet.
Quoting liberally from the CAG report, Isaac had blasted the Centre for undermining the development initiatives of the state government.
Chennithala alleged that the CM was trying to evade the cloud of suspicion that hangs over him by using his party as a shield
Front to use Sprinklr, e-mobility project, gold smuggling row, LIFE Mission scam and Bineesh Kodiyeri’s alleged nexus in Bengaluru drug case to corner LDF.
He also alleged that the CPM is acting as if they can commit any wrong doing, but none should initiate a probe. Chennithala maintained that the place is not China, but Kerala.
Even nine months after KC Joseph filed a petition against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, the committee is yet to consider the petition, he said.
"The Chief Minister and CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan head the underworld activities. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's house has become a hub for the sale of narcotics," he told reporters.
The PAC meeting was held at Indira Bhavan on a day the Syro-Malabar Church had lashed out at the IUML for its stand on the reservation on the basis of economic backwardness.
The Chief Minister's Office is the den of all corrupt practices, he said.
A day after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan came down heavily on him, Chennithala shot back alleging that the Left government has become synonymous with gold smuggling
Later, Chennithala clarified in a press release that he meant to say that Rahul Gandhi, being a senior national leader, comments mostly on national issues.
