BENGALURU: City police have extended security to actor Deepika Padukone’s family, including her father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, younger sister Anisha and grandmother Ahilya.
City Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar told Express, “Security has been provided at her J C Nagar residence.
The jurisdictional police are closely monitoring security at their residence till the controversy over the film ‘Padmavati’ ends.
Two policemen from Malleswaram police station are deployed at her grandmother’s house.”
The actor was provided security after a fringe group in Rajasthan threatened to physically harm her. Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Sunday wrote to DG&IGP to provide security to Deepika and her family.
