BANGALORE: Following a tip-off, the organised crime wing of Central Crime Branch has nabbed a rowdy, Lingaraju alias Kathriguppe Linga, and his seven associates while they were allegedly preparing to commit dacoity and murder under the Chennammakere Achukattu Police Station limits.

Lingaraju has 23 cases against him and prior to his arrest he was allegedly planning to attack and murder another rowdy Parandhama who reportedly struck gold through a land dealing and was expected to come near Chennammakere Achukattu.

With this purpose in his mind Lingaraju had come gone there with weapons, which were smeared with snake poison.

The squad raided the place where the rowdies had assembled and arrested Lingaraju along with Basavaraj (35), Rajesh (30), G K Natraj (30), Harish(19), Umesh (20), Nandeesh (19) and Praveen (19).

All the accused have several cases pending against them.
