Ride the Metro to Nagasandra From Today

BENGALURU: The first commercial run of Namma Metro between Mantri Square Sampige Road Station and Nagasandra Station will start at 4 pm on Friday.

You can book a ride either to or from these points as trains will commence from both the stations at the same time.

A release from Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited said the inaugural train between Nagasandra and Peenya Station will be flagged off by M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, from Nagasandra Metro station at 9.45 am and its first commercial run will be in the evening.

Meanwhile, the Reach-3B Line will be inaugurated at Peenya depot by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The three stations to be linked on Tumakuru Road are Nagasandra, Jalahalli and T Dasarahalli.

Reach 3 and 3A, a 10.5-km stretch that now connects Mantri Square Sampige Road Station and Peenya Industrial Area, have already commenced operations.

Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar, Union Law and Justice Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, French Ambassador to India Francois Richier and Ambassador Extraordinary from Japan Takeshi Yagi will attend the event.
