IT was a day to promote the concept of matrimony by spreading awareness about the benefits of it. BharatMatrimony, the matrimony portal celebrated Matrimony Day, on Tuesday. The day encourages young people to give more thought to the concept and how it serves as the bedrock of society’s cultural fabric. The website www.matrimonyday.org has been launched to drive the essence of matrimony. While speaking on the occasion of Matrimony Day, Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder and CEO of BharatMatrimony, said, “Marriage is the root of bonding in every community in our country. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have helped millions of people find a life partner since 1997. We started our company on April 14 and now we want to promote the concept of matrimony on this day and make people celebrate, globally.”

BharatMatrimony has organised free exclusive matrimony meet for physically challenged in Delhi and Mumbai as part of the Matrimony celebrations. They have also marked this day with a celebration amongst the company’s employees.
