CHENNAI: Phoenix Marketcity is hosting three bands starting June 5. On Friday, visitors at the mall will get to listen to jazz tunes featuring renowned musician Maarten Visser from Holland on saxophone along with his band popularly known as the ‘Maarten Visser Trio’.
On June 6, ‘Shilpa Natarajan & Friends’ with their popular band, Under A Rest will be entertaining the crowd with a few Tamil and Telugu numbers. The band has experimented with different genres of music from Blues, Funk Jazz to Indie Pop.
On Sunday, the band ‘Vertigo’, a popular group known to play all numbers from fusion to Rock to Blues, will recreate the magic of the musical greats such as Dream Theater, Opeth, John Mayer, Slash, Caspian etc.
The concerts will start at 6.30 pm on all the three days. The venue is The Courtyard at Phoenix Marketcity, No 142, Velachery Main Road, Velachery.
