Computer lab inaugurated

 Students should be made aware of the environment pollution, the biggest challenge faced by society, Advisor to Prime Minister T K A Nair has said.

 He also highlighted the importance of computer learning in today’s world.

 He was inaugurating renovated computer lab at the Vidyadhiraja Vidyabhavan Senior Secondary School, Angamaly, on Monday.

 Nair who is also a patron of the school was given a reception which was inaugurated by Gitabhavan Trust chairman Purandarananda Swamikal.

 Toppers of SSLC and Plus-Two examinstions of the school were felicitated and prizes distributed at the function.

 Sreelakhsmy Vijaykumar who topped the state-level IOEL examination and other winners were presented gold medals and certificates.

 P u r a n d a r a n a n d a Swamikal, TCS chairman S K Nair, Chinmaya Vidyalaya principal Maya Mohan, and Gitabhavan Trust secretary P R N Kurup were among those who spoke.

 Gitabhavan managing trustee M N K K Nambeesan presided over the function.

 School principal Mohan Mathew welcomed the gathering.

 School vicecaptain Parvathy S proposed a vote of thanks.
