KOCHI: Melam Charities International chairman and managing director Dr Kurian John Melamparambil was adjudged winner of the Baroda Sun Lifetime Achievement Award 2015, instituted by Bank of Baroda for excellence in social service. The award carries a trophy, citation and a donation of Rs.5 lakh to the charitable trust or NGO represented by the awardee. The award will be presented at a function to be organised in connection with the 108th foundation day of Bank of Baroda at NCPA Hall, Mumbai on July 20, a press release of the Melam Charities informed. The charity organisation had distributed financial aid to nearly 1.5 lakh patients spread over 1012 hospitals across the country, it added.
