Bogus voting caught in Kannur

On the eve of vote counting, complaints of mass bogus voting pours in from various corners of the assembly constituencies in Kannur. As many as 21 bogus votings were identified with all evidences in Dharmadam constituency alone, where CPM Leader Pinarayi Vijayan is contesting after a break of 20 years.

Kannur District Congress Committee President, K Surendran said that while 21 cases of bogus voting were identified in various booths of Dharmadam constituency, the party has submitted over 40 complaints to the election commission on Tuesday. The election commission is in the process of identifying more cases and it has now become clear and evident to the world that their claims of mass bogus voting taking place in the district is true.

He demanded that the visuals of such people involved in bogus voting should be put in display for the world to see. He said that that number of bogus voting was low and the congress booth agents were able to sit in the polling booth without much fear due to the heavy security arrangement being made in all the places.

However he pointed that despite it at many places the web cameras were disturbed with the support of polling officials on duty.

A complete and thorough is required, he demanded.
