Salman joins hands to raise funds at AISFM

Express News Service

After a host of celebrities getting involved in city-based Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM), it is now actor Salman Khan’s turn to join this bandwagon.

According to their latest announcement, Salman will participate and support the school’s fundraising program.

He recently joined the initiative and has donated a ‘Being Human’ watch and a personally signed T shirt to help the film school raise funds by auctioning the items. On donating an autographed T-shirt and a wristwatch from his foundation, Being Human, Salman said, “I am happy to donate these items to the AISFM fundraising celebrity auction. Across India there are lakhs of highly talented youngsters who are financially disadvantaged. The scholarships that this fundraising event makes possible will help many people realise their dreams while introducing new artistes, filmmakers and technicians to our industry.”

AISFM’s fundraising efforts raise money to offer scholarships to deserving and talented young people who aspire to make a career in the media industry, which is one of the booming industries in the country. There is a dearth of trained personnel in the industry and providing scholarships to such students will give an impetus to pursue a degree in the field of their choice.

Kurt Inderbitzen, the CEO of AISFM, said, “A big thank you to Salman Khan for being a part of our initiative, we appreciate the support extended by him to our cause. This gives us an opportunity to reach out to the brilliant students who need financial aid to pursue a career in the film and media industry.”
