Karan Johar announced his one of the much talked about project Shuddhi a few years back. The film has been in news for its casting issues. However, recently the director Karan Malhotra had confirmed that he is still making the film and it is not an adaption of The Immortals of Mehula as it was reported earlier.

Now latest buzz suggest that Karan is in favour of casting Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor in the film.

A source says, “This script is very close to Karan though he has stopped talking about it long ago as the project could not start.

But it is going to be revived soon and Karan is willing to cast newcomers in it, but he is yet to start work on it. So there has not been any official statement from him so far.”

For longest times there were rumours that the film is shelved and it has been jinxed due to changing cast.
