Deepa Sannidhi has managed to create her own space in filmdom, but it is not praise, but recognition that the actress craves for. And she seems to have found it in Kollywood. Having had a dream debut alongside Darshan in Sarathi and following it with Paramathma with Puneeth Rajkumar (both in Kannada), Deepa has now found comfort in the Tamil industry with her second film Yatchan ready for release. The actor, who made a short visit to Bengaluru, told CE, “I will be seen opposite Arya in Yatchan and I am eagerly looking forward to its release in August.” Her debut in Tamil was Enakkul Oruvan, a remake of the Kannada film Lucia, where she played the leading lady opposite Siddharth.
According to her, the industry is quite competitive today and even if an actor carries enough experience, he or she still has to start all over again to prove themselves. “Luckily, I had good roles in the Tamil films,” she notes. On the other hand, Deepa is taking time off to pursue her education and even try her hand at writing. “I am taking up films as a hobby and I also do other things. So, I am planning to study further and will also try creative writing,” she reveals.
