KOCHI: Malayalam director Vinayan has yet again launched an attack on Mammootty.
Even though the director had worked with Mammootty in several films in the past, their relation has turned bitter a long time. The director says that Mammootty has some major ego issues.
Vinayan, who is the leader of the counter group of film technicians, has also commented in an interview that Mammootty does not deserve to be honoured with the several awards that he had won in the past few years.
Vinayan alleged that the megastar has instructed Kairali TV channel to not include any songs of his latest release ‘Yakshium Njanum’. Mammootty is the Chairman of the channel. Vinayan says that only people with cheap attitudes would do such things. The movie was released last month.
Vinayan directed Mammootty in 2000 in the movies like ‘Raakshasa Rajavu’ and ‘Dada Sahib’. ‘Rakshasa Rajavu’ became a hit at the Box Office but managed to gather only average critic reviews. In ‘Dada Sahib’, Mammootty played double roles and the story of the movie was co-written by Vinayan.
