Film: Mooru guttu ondu sullu ondu nija Cast: Ramesh Aravind, Komal, Nancy, Sharan, Mandya Ramesh, Asha Latha, Srinivasa Murthy, Sudha Belawadi Director: Dinesh Babu DIRECTOR Dinesh Babu, whose recent film Bellary Naga crashed at the box-office beyond redemption, has come out with a decent film that makes the audience indulge in a laugh riot for more than two hours.

The USP of this film is the screenplay and director’s ability in extracting the required acting from all the artistes. Though the entire film was shot in one location, the audience would not feel bored with it.

Ramesh, known for playing roles in an urbane image, deserves appreciation for playing a villager role. His mannerisms, especially where he indulges in a spitting spree and his dialogue delivery are superb.

As far as Komal’s performance is concerned, it can be considered one of the best performances in his career. His mannerisms, especially his tryst with his Hindi-speaking lover and his difficulties to understand lengthy Hindi dialogues are sure treats to watch.

Nancy from Mumbai looks charming. She can be an asset for Sandalwood, which is craving for glamour. Veteran actor Asha Latha, who acts as the deaf aunty of Komal, provides good support.

The story is about four siblings — one son and three daughters — of an affluent person (Srinivasa Murthy). As the parents leave for Tirupati, the son, Siddaramu alias Siddu (Komal) asks his sweetheart Sonu (Nancy) to come to his room. (She not only comes in a transparent nightie but also brings a fried chicken). Two of Siddu’s sisters faithfully follow his footsteps by inviting their lovers to their rooms.

Meanwhile, their deaf aunty (Asha Latha) enters the scene and causes inconvenience to them. As if this is not enough, Appu (Ramesh Aravind) enters the house and keeps the lovers stay awake throughout night.

The film has no gory stunt scenes. It has only one song Yeddelo Madesha. Music director Suma Shastri has provided good background music. It is a worthy watch for families.
