DIRECTOR KV Anand is confident about his April 3 release, 'Ayan'. It all stems from the belief  in his script, technical team and  hero Suriya. “We have used several media reports in the story which is about what happens when  circumstances hit an ordinary guy,” says Anand. Talking about his technical team he adds, “It’s good that nowadays technicians are gaining the prominence they deserve, thanks to the media. All credit for my film goes to my excellent team of cast and crew and generous producer, AVM Productions.”

He had high praise for Suriya,“We took several dupes with us abroad. But the expense was a waste because Suriya did all the stunts and risky jumps himself. He has the guts and physical strength to pull it off. He has done some excellent comedy and fans can see him in many new get-ups.” Talking about the story he adds, “Suriya is one actor who is ready to experiment with new storylines. But he was mostly doing sad roles. I wanted to give him a different dimension in 'Ayan'.”

“The chemistry with Tamannaah is good especially in the three duets by Harris Jayaraj,” reveals Anand. Prabhu and Karunas have important roles while Renuka plays Suriya’s mother. Why did he choose Akashdeep Saigal as the villain? “I got bored of watching the same villains and wanted a fresh face. He has done some risky fights and 'Ayan' will surely bring him a good name,” he concludes.
