CHENNAI: A long-drawn feud between yesteryear glamour actor M Maya and former heroine Seetha, who are neighbours in Pushpa Colony, Saligramam, came to the open on Saturday with both filing complaints against each other.

Maya created a buzz at the Chennai Police Commissionerate at noon by accusing Seetha of indulging in prostitution and saying the latter's 'clients' were parking vehicles obstructing the way to her house.

Later in the evening, TV actor Sathish, who calls himself Seetha's manager or friend, filed a counter-complaint against Maya. He told reporters that Maya had made a habit of using filthy language against Seetha and her family.

In her petition to the Commissioner of Police, the 40-year-old Maya, who has starred in Tamil films like 'Bhuvana Oru Kelvikkuri', 'Othai Adi Pathaiyile', 'Madurai Sooran' and 'Puthiya Ragam', said Seetha and her "second husband" Sathish indulged in rowdyism, creating problems for her, which was affecting her eight-year-old daughter.

Sathish said they had lodged a complaint against Maya with the Virugambakkam police three months ago and again on Thursday night. "When the police went for an inquiry to her house on Friday morning, she locked herself in and created a drama," he said, adding that the entire street had complaints about her.

Seetha, who played female lead in '80s films, was earlier married to actor-director Parthiban. She now acts in TV soap operas.
