CHENNAI: Suresh,a former associate of veteran director Balu Mahendra, makes his Tamil directorial debut with ‘Eththan’, starring Vimal. ‘Kalavani’ producer Nazir is producing under the banner Sherali Films.

“‘Eththan’ is a family entertainer, and will hit the screens in the second week of April. The story is about a son, played by Vimal, who wants to start his own business, but his father, played by Jayaprakash, wants him to work as a government servant. But Vimal doesn’t heed his father, and starts borrowing money from his friends. At one stage, he suffers debt crisis. How he overcomes this situation forms rest of the story,” informs director Suresh, who did a Telugu movie last year.

After ‘Vamsam’, music director Taj Noor scores music for this film. Sanusha plays the female lead.
