CHENNAI: Even before its audio release on May 20, the single track, ‘Vilayadu Mankatha’ from the film ‘Mankatha’, created a lot of expectations among Ajith fans. This hip-hop track was apparently the first song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja when he signed the project.

Gangai Amaran, director Venkat’s father, has penned the lyrics. Choreographed by Kalyan, the song was shot at a club in Bangkok with 250 extras and 50 dancers from Mumbai, Chennai and Bangkok.

The film has nine tracks that also include a remix, theme music and a promo song. The final stage of shooting is going on in Hyderabad. ‘Mankatha’ is an action flick and it’s said that Ajith has taken a lot of risks for the stunt sequences that are choreographed by Selva.
