Everybody knows that director Simbudevan, who is known for his films 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi', 'Arai En 305-il Kadavul' and 'Irumbokottai Muratu Singam', is directing Dhanush in his next movie titled 'Maareesan'. While there were rumours that Hansika and Genelia would be featured opposite Dhanush, the director had chosen to remain tight-lipped about the cast.
However, according to sources close to the director, 'Naan Mahaan Alla'-fame Kajal Agarwal is likely to pair up with Dhanush. “Simbudevan is in talks with her,” says a source. The actress is currently busy shooting for 'Maatraan' with actor Suriya and KV Anand. The crew was recently in Latvia to shoot a song sequence. Maareechan is actually an important character in the epic, Ramayana.

While the plot, roles of the actors and other details are yet to be revealed, sources disclosed that UTV Motion Pictures would be producing the film. They added that the film would go on floors by the end of December.
If all goes according to plan, it will be the first time that all three -- Dhanush, Simbudevan and Kajal Agarwal -- will be working together.
