The Vidharth-starrer Kollaikaran is all set to hit screens on January 13. The film will be competing with two big movies — Nanban and Vettai,  which are also releasing in the same week. What’s news is that the film seems to have managed to get quite a number of theatres across the state. At a press meet, Tamil Chelvan, the director of the film, said the movie would be releasing in more than 250 theatres across the state. He added that the final number would be known only by Wednesday.  “I was a little reluctant to release my film now. But the producer decided to go with Pongal, as he felt no other date would be appropriate to release this movie,” said  Tamil Chelvan, who was earlier an assistant to director Seenu Ramasamy.Kollaikaran is Tamil Chelvan’s first movie. “I know Vidharth will become an established actor. He is actually happy with the outcome of this film,” the director said.
