It’s not easy to forget the role of the menacing terrorist Wasim Khan,  played to perfection by actor Mukesh Rishi in Vijayakanth’s popular 2000 blockbuster, 'Vallarasu' (2000). The tall and tough actor, who later went on to do many films in Telugu and Hindi, will return to Tamil soon with director Hari’s 'Singam 2'. The actor will play baddie against Suriya in the film, which is a sequel to the superhit 'Singam'.

“His personality, be it in terms of his height and weight, suit the role perfectly. And I thought it would be a good change to see him in Tamil after a long time,” said Hari.

Though Mukesh Rishi did a few films in Tamil later, he got more popular with his film roles in Tollywood and Bollywood, and has more than 20 movies to his credit in each language.

Hari has decided to cast a South African actor for the role of another villain in 'Singam 2' and will fly to the country in a couple of days. “We are going to audition four known villains to select one,” he said.

Known for setting his stories in semi-urban landscapes in the state, this will be the first time that director Hari will be shooting a film abroad.

'Singam 2' will retain the original cast of the 2010 blockbuster, including  the lead pair of Suriya and Anushka, apart from Manorama and Vivekh. Hansika plays another heroine.
