It is known that Karthi-starrer 'Saguni' has in the making for a long time. Earlier, when the movie was expected to hit screens this month-end, it came as disappointment for the 'Paiyya' star’s fans that the crew has decided to re-shoot all the sequences involving the villain, with Prakash Raj replacing actor Salim Ghouse.

'Saguni’s director Shankardayal says there is more than one reason to change the actor, and is very happy about Prakash Raj’s immediate acceptance to play the role. “Prakash Raj didn’t mind doing a role already enacted by another actor, and didn’t ask me a word about the decision to make a replacement,” says Shankardayal. Prakash Raj is expected to begin shoot for the film in the next week.

According to the debutant director, the villain role is a pivotal one that stretches across the movie. “The role is a highly diplomatic and political one,” he informs. Prakashraj has to shoot for both the Tamil and Telugu versions and it will take about 10 days. Shankardayal says the songs will soon be launched.
