HYDERABAD: Director Ram Gopal Verma has been facing the same problem with his films in Hindi and Telugu – delays. Several of his films have failed to hit theaters on the announced dates. ‘Rakht Charitram’ was no exception. Now, it is the turn of his new film, ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju’. It was postponed by at least one week.

It turns out that Ram Gopal Verma will not be able to release his Telugu production on January 12 because several sequences for the film have not even been shot yet! RGV reportedly requires 23 of his lead actors to be present on sets of ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju’ at one time – an almost impossible task.

Producer Kirankumar Koneru is not keen on postponing the release to after January 19.

‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju’, which is a satire on the Tollywood film industry was earlier scheduled for a Sankranti release.
