HYDERABAD: Yaadhi, the promising, young film director of award-winning short films such as Raajiga Ori Raajiga, has come up with an innovative idea to make a movie involving all his talented friends. Friend funding, as he calls it.
Titled Hrudayaanjali, it will be India’s first ‘FriendsFunding Feature Film (#FFFF). The multi-lingual (Telugu,Tamil and Hindi) is a road thriller with ample family drama featuring rank new artistes.
To make sure the team finds the right talent through their friend networks, they have now announced a three-day audition session titled ‘Act, Acting & Actor (AA&A) with the aim to create a database of all the local artistes.
“We want to make sure that everyone’s creative dreams are fulfilled and nobody gets exploited. The datebase will provide a safe and professional channel to reach out to the filmmakers,” says audition director VJ Gautam. Director of language and culture, Mamidi Harikrishna, also appreciated the intiative that also briefs youngsters on the profession, the industry and what it takes to survive in it.
“This artistes directory will be available to all the filmmakers,” says Sonia Akula, programme co-ordinator. The directory will have a list of all actors, singers etc with no bar on age, gender and experience.
The auditions, held in association with the Department of Language and Culture and Cinivaram, will take place at Ravindra Bharathi on May 5, 6 and 7 between 10 am and 6 pm. Those interested in the audition need to carry proof of identity, a photograph and come prepared to perform a three-minute act for the audition. Details: 9912376894.
