LUCKNOW: : Magsayay award winner Sandeep Pandey, who was terminated from the post of guest lecturer at the Banaras Hindu University’s Indian Institute of Technology, on Wednesday said that his termination happened because of the differences in ideologies.

“IIT, BHU board of governors have decided to terminate me and I have received the termination letter. They have called me a Naxalite. They should file an FIR against me if I am anti-national,” Pandey told ANI.

He also said that this has happened because of the differences in ideologies.

“We are against the ideology of the RSS as it is against the integrity of nation. It has happened to me for the first time when I am charged with baseless allegations. I wanted to continue there but they are terminating me,” he further said.

“It is a long fight and I don’t expect anything from the Prime Minister as he also possesses the same mindset,” he added.

The teaching contract of well-known educationist Pandey at BHU IIT was terminated prematurely on charges of his being ‘involved in anti-national activities and a Naxalite’ and for allegedly ‘showing the banned documentary on the Nirbhaya case, ‘India’s Daughter’ to his students.
