KANNUR: The ABVP has lodged a complaint with Kannur SP G Shiva Vikram demanding action against the Government Brennen College authorities for publishing objectionable content in the college magazine. The ABVP has urged to register a case against the college principal and magazine editorial board members.

“We will approach the Kerala High Court seeking legal action against those responsible for the vulgar contents in the magazine,” said ABVP district convenor Prem Sai.  Meanwhile, the ABVP on Thursday took out a protest march in front of the college demanding withdrawal of the controversial magazine.

“The college authorities should withdraw the magazine instead of removing the controversial pages. There are objectionable contents in the magazine that disparage nationalism. So, the authorities should  withdraw the magazine completely,” said Prem Sai.

‘Pellet’, the annual magazine of the college had courted controversy by publishing a caricature of a couple having sex behind chairs in a cinema hall while the national anthem is played on the screen.
