Makeup artist Deepti Mohindar shares her story

Makeup is a popular art that a few talented people excel at. It requires a lot of precision and sharp eye to understand what makeup would suit a person and how to blend everything for a perfect look. One such makeup artist who is appreciated and trusted for her skills is Deepti Mohinder.

During her college, Deepti attended beauty workshop of celebrity makeup artist Corry Walia. Corry's work and passion influenced and encouraged Deepti to become an MUA. she owns a salon and academy in Kolkata called Studio MeCHE.

She says, "Every lesson I learned -- from Corry Walia to Bharat and Dorris, to Jharna Shah for bridals, to Temptu USA for air brush makeup -- contributed to my journey. To emphasise the style, I broadened my horizons in hair styling and finished a certified residential course at TONI & GUY Academy Kuala Lumpur. Along with this, I have taken a number of short courses from prestigious companies like Moroccan Oil, Olaplex, L'Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Skeyndor, and Global Keratin."

"The science behind makeup intrigued me as to how colours and combination of light can transform a person. When I was pregnant with my first child, I had to take a break from the advertising agency I was working with. I decided to learn makeup and see if I can make a place for myself in industry."
