Smartphones are eating the world. But that is not just because of the efforts of Google or Apple. There are millions of third party developers who design and develop millions of apps both for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. At the recently concluded WWDC, the youngest developer for iOS was 13. All these developers are good for making apps like games and messaging services. But when you need an app to be designed for a security critical application, like banking services, you call in the big boys. Or to be precise, Raj Koneru. Raj is the Chairman and Founder of Kony Inc. — a leading multi-channel application development platform provider with over 350 customers in 45 countries including 70 Fortune 500 companies. He has a master’s degree in management from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and is a serial entrepreneur with more than 23 years of experience in catering to global enterprise business needs. In 1993, Raj co-founded and acted as the CEO of Intelligroup, an IT services, solutions and consulting corporation that grew into a $200 million company. After Intelligroup, Raj co-founded Seranova, another IT service company that he helped achieve $100 million in revenues before selling it in 2001. He has also co-founded and been the CEO of a successful BPO company iTouchpoint.
