MUMBAI: A Mumbai-bound Jet airways flight from Brussels carrying 224 passengers and 13 crew on Saturday landed at Budapest airport under emergency conditions after a technical snag in the aircraft.

The flight 9W 227 landed at Budapest, capital of Hungary, safely and all the passengers, including four infants, and the crew are safe, a Jet Airways spokesperson told PTI.

The flight will take off from Budapest on Sunday after the fault is attended to and reach Mumbai on October 4, the spokesperson said.

"Jet Airways Flight 9W 227 from Brussels to Mumbai was diverted to Budapest due to a technical snag. The flight landed in Budapest safely," the spokesperson said.

"The passengers have been accommodated in hotels and the flight is likely to leave Budapest tomorrow morning and would land at Mumbai on October 4," the spokesperson said.
