An India Today report on late Friday evening alleged that it gained access to the insides of the surgical strikes. The report detailed out the timelines about the pre-operations and how the final strikes took place.
According to the report, soon after the Uri attacks by four heavily armed terrorists on Sept. 18, the Centre along with it's defence chiefs- Army, Navy and Air Force began monitoring the areas across the Line of Control (LoC) for any suspicious movements. These meetings which were being carried out in incognito monitored various Pakistani terror launchpads between Sept. 23 to Sept. 26.
The surgical strikes were purported to have been carried out between Sept. 27 and Sept. 28 nights. The report additionally detailed that 8 attacks were carried out in a synchronised manner and the Pakistan radar did not pick up any of them. It also added that an elite group of trained commandos was air-dropped from 35,000 ft using High Altitude-High Opening (HAHO) chutes.
According to the report, the entire operation was filmed by the helmets used by the soldiers. It delved into specifics like the artillery fired at Pakistani posts and the area crossed by the Indian soldiers across LoC.
