HO CHI MINH CITY: The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Monday decided to send its Under-19 team to the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Singapore in June.

VFF was targeting the long-term future of the sport, rather than immediate results, so it will focus on supporting these young players, said VFF Chairman Le Hung Dung, who added that the U-19s will be key players at the Games this year, reports Xinhua.

Most of the Vietnamese U-19 team players are from Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club, who just made their V-League debut Sunday.
