Indophile Matthew Hayden celebrates Independence Day at 'home away from home'

Former Australian cricketer and the brand ambassador of Tamil Nadu Premier League Matthew Hayden is a very busy man nowadays, spending a lot of time on Indian soil promoting the upcoming TNPL across various cities in Tamil Nadu.

Ever since his time with Chennai Super Kings, the charismatic batsman has always shown expressed admiration for India, especially Chennai.

During interviews and television shows Hayden never forgets to talk about his love for Chennai, which he considers his second home.

On the occasion of Independence Day Hayden took to Twitter shared a heartwarming message to his fans. So it was no wonder that Hayden wished fans on the occasion of Indian Independence day.

Hayden's first visit to Chennai was 20 years ago when he came to train at MRF Pace Foundation. He has always spoken affectionately about the warmth he has received from the people here and considers them highly knowledgeable.

Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes is also famously an Indophile; he named his daughter, born last year in Mumbai, India Jeanne Rhodes.
