NEW DELHI: Facebook is all set to release a fandom map, which will show the most-liked teams on the social networking site across all Indian states and districts.
Facebook has mapped the fans of each of the eight IPL teams across India.
The map shows that every team is the most supported team in their home states. But in states that do not have a team, the Chennai Super Kings dominate. The Super Kings have also garnered maximum likes.
Interestingly, more people in Delhi like the Super Kings than their home team. In fact, the Daredevils do not have a plurality of fans in an Indian district, while in Gurgaon, the Mumbai Indians are the most popular among Facebook fans.
Since the IPL season began, Facebook has seen millions of people getting engage with their favourite teams, players, and with their friends around IPL content.
