HYDERABAD: Former Union minister and Congress senior leader Parvataneni Upendra formally joined Praja Rajyam Party in the presence of its president Chiranjeevi here today.

Speaking on the occasion Upendra said PRP does not need the support of any other party. It will win the elections on its own, he said and added that his predictions won’t go wrong.

He rubbished the comments of the Congress that the PRP lacks clarity on several issues and said that Congress need not question about all these things as they are internal affairs of the PRP.

Upendra said that it was a straight fight between the Telugu Desam and the Congress in 1983 whereas now it would be a triangular contest between the TD, Congress and the PRP. He faulted the Government for taking up 75 irrigation projects at a time.
