Nepali woman gives birth on train, both healthy in Andhra Pradesh

In a rare incident, a Nepali woman gave birth to a female child in the Kalyan Junction bound Jayanti Janata Express train between Rajampet-Nandalur stations on Monday morning.

KADAPA: In a rare incident, a Nepali woman gave birth to a female child in the Kalyan Junction bound Jayanti Janata Express train between Rajampet-Nandalur stations on Monday morning. The woman, Sita along with her husband Prem, boarded the train at Kollam in Kerala, on Sunday morning, to go to Kalyan Junction near Mumbai. 

When the train reached Rajampet at around 6 am on Monday, she developed labour pains and sometime later she delivered a female child in the train. The Nandalur railway police were informed about the incident. When the train reached Nandalur station, the woman was shifted to a hospital in an ambulance. The doctor said that both the woman and her new born baby girl are healthy. The husband of the woman expressed happiness and gratitude to the railway authorities.
