Excise policy case: Delhi court extends Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till July 22

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia, the AAP leader and former deputy chief minister till July 22 in connection with a corruption case tied to an alleged excise policy scam.

Sisodia appeared before the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja via video conference.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in February 2023 for his alleged role in the liquor policy case. The ED arrested him in a money-laundering case in March 2023. He has been under judicial custody since then.

The case against Sisodia revolves around accusations related to irregularities in the excise policy during his tenure as deputy CM. The allegations are of discrepancies in the implementation and execution.
