BENGALURU: Expelled AIADMK leader V K Sasikala’s sister in-law Ilavarasi has been granted emergency Ilavarasi for 15 days as the condition of her brother who has been hospitalised is critical.
She left Parappana Agrahara Central Prison on Thursday afternoon and headed to Chennai. Ilavarasi, along with co-accused Sasikala, has been serving a four-year imprisonment after being convicted in a disproportionate assets case.

A senior officer said based on the court’s permit, Ilavarasi was granted an emergency parole. She has to return on November 8. Her lawyers took her in a car to Tamil Nadu after she was imposed conditions not to interact with the media. She has also been told to stay only in the permitted location.
