PALAKKAD: An all-India competition on the recital of Narayaneeyam will be organised by the Bhagavatha Vachaspathy Thottam Krishnan Nampoothiry Memorial Foundation on September 21 at the Narayanalayam near the Sree Krishna Temple at Guruvayur, according to Foundation secretary
Thottam Shyam Nampoothiry who is the son of the late Thottam Krishnan Nampoothiry.
Dasakam 38 of Narayaneeyam has been earmarked for recital by the students of Standards V, VI and VII.
The students from Standard VIII to XII should recite Dasakams III, IV and V.
There will be separate competition sections for boys and girls.The elders should recite Dasakams 34 and 35. There will be consolation prizes in this section.
The winners will be given the prizes at the Thottam Krishnan Nampoothiry commemoration function to be held at Narayanalayam on October 17, Shyam Nampoothiry said.
