Saturday too Declared a Holiday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Saturday (September 26) will be a holiday for all government and aided schools. Instead, schools will function on October 3 (Saturday), the Director of Public Instructions (DPI) has said.

Earlier, it was decided that September 26 would be a working day for schools up to Class X to make up for the lost class hours. DPI M S Jaya said on Tuesday that September 26 had been declared a holiday on the basis of requests from teachers and students from far-off districts as Thursday and Friday are holidays on account of Bakrid.
