SET FOR release across Orissa next month, Mane Rahibe A Prema Kahani is a movie of and by a team of newcomers to the film industry.

Producer Susant Kumar Rath, director and screenplay writer Narayan Ghadei, story writer Goutam Giri, music composer Bidyut Ray and lead actor Rudra are having their debut while lead actress Rupali and supporting actor Rajdeep are just one-film-old. “My team could be young but not inexperienced,” remarks producer Susant Kumar who has apparently floated his banner SK Films after his name.

Ghadei has years of experience in directing scores of musical albums, he points out and adds that lead actor Rudra was discovered by none other than acclaimed filmmaker Raju Mishra for his tele-film Dear Sir. Rupali had a distinct debut in To Bina Bhala Lagena and Rajdeep had also exhibited his talent in Aei Milana Jugajugara - he tells us.

As its title hints, it is a film of love and romance. “True that Ollywood is churning out a number of films on love and romance but what would make a difference to a film are the twists and turns in the story. We have not borrowed or repeated any such sequence from any film made on the subject,” claims the story writer. “Do watch our different treatment of the age old theme of love in the film,” the director says taking a cue from the script writer.

The cast includes gifted actors Asrumochan Mohanty and Samaresh Routray apart from veterans like Raicharan Das, Namrata Das and Puspa Panda. Popular singers Tapu Mishra, Arbind, Sweta Mishra and Pami have lent their voice for the film that has been shot at several picturesque locations around Chandragiri, Nayagarh, and Phulbani besides Bhubaneswar.
