KKD Declares Candidate for Narla Assembly Seat

Kosal Kranti Dal (KKD) organised a meeting of its workers at Town Hall here to select its candidate for Narla Assembly constituency of Kalahandi district on Sunday.

After a long deliberation, consensus was reached in favour of KKD Central Committee working president Baidyanath Mishra. In the first phase, besides Narla Assembly constituency, KKD has also declared its candidates in five other Assembly constituencies of Western Odisha. They are Brajarajnagar, Bhatli, Sundargarh Sadar, Biramitrapur and Talsara. It has also declared its candidate for Parliamentary seat of Sundargarh. List of the candidates for other seats would be declared in the second phase soon, Mishra said and added that taking opinion of grassroot workers in open meetings is unique to KKD.

In the previous elections, KKD contested only to spread the party's message regarding need for formation of separate State in Western Odisha and creating public opinion in its favour.
