BHAWANIPATNA:  A group of Maoist cadres reportedly torched a licensed country liquor manufacturing unit in Dengsu Tipidi village under Barabandha panchayat of Madanpur Rampur police limits in Kalahandi district, police said on Sunday.

The local residents are scared after the incident that occurred last night. The village, mostly inhabited by tribals, also has a strong Maoist presence. There is hardly any development in the area; the village does not even have a proper road.
