CHENNAI: Two days after Rumesh Babu, producer of Vijay starrer Kaavalan, lodged a complaint against distributor Sakthi Chidambaram, the latter, on Thursday, approached the city police with a complaint alleging the film producer of cheating him of Rs 10 crore.
Sakthi Chidambaram, in his complaint, claimed that he had paid Rs 10 crore to Rumesh Babu of Ekaveera Creations, who reportedly promised to include his name as coproducer in the film's title card.
But Babu did not do so, Chidambaram alleged. He said he had borrowed money to pay Babu. Chidambaram claimed that Babu even threatened his family, when he was not at home.
